Ryan founded The Insurance Collective in 2023 after spending years working within the corporate insurance sector and seeing firsthand how the industry was becoming increasingly focused on sales targets, shareholder returns, and volume-driven growth. Ryan works alongside New Zealand businesses, property owners, and landlords to deliver tailored insurance advice, stronger cover, competitive premiums, and hands-on claims support. A passionate client advocate, Ryan is known for challenging the status quo, asking the hard questions of insurers, and ensuring clients receive the level of service they deserve. His focus remains the same as it was on day one — helping people make informed insurance decisions and having someone in their corner when they need it most.

Director
Ashley has spent more than 25 years helping New Zealand businesses, property owners, and families navigate the complexities of insurance. With extensive experience as an Insurance Broker, Director, and business owner, he understands both the risks businesses face and the importance of having the right protection in place. Ashley is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients, whether that's negotiating competitive insurance terms, providing strategic risk advice, or advocating during the claims process. His practical approach, industry knowledge, and commitment to doing what's right for clients have earned him a reputation as a trusted adviser who genuinely goes into bat for the people he represents.

Executive Assistant
Nicole brings a strong background in finance and has spent the past seven years working at an insurance brokerage in Hastings. Her experience across client service, insurance administration, and policy management makes her an invaluable part of The Insurance Collective team. Nicole works closely with our Directors and clients to ensure renewals, policy servicing, claims support, and day-to-day administration are handled efficiently and accurately. Her attention to detail and commitment to exceptional client service help ensure every client receives the personalised support they deserve.
